Hanging with the Big Kids

We all loved going up in the jungle gym in Wisconsin Dells! Luckily Christ and I were able to fit! There were a few times when we were reminded (though just for an instant) that we may be past the age limit. I nearly broke my hip trying to go through the spinning tube (Christ thought he could do it more gracefully but was sorely mistaken) and Christ needed a little push getting through some of the tighter spots. Oh to be young again! Good thing Talia was there to help us keep on keeping on.

Flock of Seagulls

Talia is bringing this infamous hair style back for a new generation. With the help of these air tubes and just a few cans of hairspray, we may have a new style option for everyday wear. You all just wish you could pull it off as well!

Going Wimming

Talia had a great time swimming at Wisconsin Dells! Here she is putting on her "wimming uit" (we really should start working on that 's' sound), floating in the lazy river with Daddy, sliding reluctantly down the slide, and swinging. She was so excited about the concept of swimming but backed away a little once she saw all the water. She warmed up over time, but was still more comfortable clinging on to us for dear life throughout most of our swimming experiences.

Chef Talia

Talia had a great time helping make and taste test chocolate cake the other day. I think we may have a true chef on our hands. As long as you don't mind a little extra in your food. Talia does not understand the concept of double dipping (or triple, or quadruple, and so on) as of yet.

Bubble Princess

Isn't it our job as parents to take embarrassing bath pictures to share with future boyfriends at a later date? All of the parenting books I have read strongly recommend doing so.

Time for a Shave

Talia was helping Dad shave the other day by testing out the shaving cream. She soon discovered that although it may look like whipped cream, it doesn't have quite the same taste!

Bulled Over

Christ played in a 4 on 4 at the United Center this weekend and Talia loved all of the bull sightings, no bull! Oh, sometimes I outdo myself!

Gymbo Hug

Talia loves to give Gymbo the clown a hug or two at the end of class. No, she does not think clowns are creepy yet. I think that develops with time.

Parachute Time

Talia loves popping bubbles and going for rides on the parachute at her Gymboree class, and luckily she is there to hold it up for the other children when we go underneath.

Hoop Action

Here Talia is displaying her dunking skills just like Daddy taught her. He is so proud of her impressive hang time! Can we say living vicariously though your child? Christ only wishes all of the hoops were this height so that he too could enjoy some dunking action. Hopefully Talia will rise above her parents' shortness so that she can continue these skills well into the future. The doctors do wonder where she gets her height! I'm not talking.

Boom Boom

Talia absolutely loves her Gymboree class (or "boom boom" as she calls it). Here she is enjoying some of her favorite activities with her "friends." She is about ready to teach the class at this point!

Pucker Up

Do Talia's lips look swollen to you? Do you think we should have this looked at?

Cool Shades

What up?! Talia looks super cool in Mom's shades, that's what! Can you tell we are ready for warm weather?

Pirate smile

Arrrrrrg maties! How do you like my new pirate smile? Now all I need is an eye patch and a parrot!
