News Shirt

Okay, can anyone help me out here? Mom bought me this new shirt because I really like monkeys, but why all the fuss? It is only a shirt, right? Why did she have me pose in it like it is some sort of big deal? I have other monkey shirts, you know! I think these are words on it, but I can't read yet, no thanks to my mom, the reading specialist! And why does mom say I will have to start sharing my blog time somewhere around December 17th? Sharing is not in my vocabulary at this stage. I will smile for the picture, mom, but seriously, someone clue me in!

First Annual Belesiotis Rib Fest 2008

One of Christ's favorite things to eat is BBQ ribs. He loves them so much that he finally decided to learn how to cook them for himself. He went a little overboard last weekend (sound like Christ?) and bought a slow cooker. He then cooked three different recipes using three different methods to see which turned out the best. He invited some other rib connoisseurs (mainly his family) to taste test as well . They turned out pretty well, and even Talia got in on the action for her first bite of ribs. She did not like the spicy chipotle which Christ accidentally let her try, but otherwise they were a hit.

Happy In Hats

Every time Talia feels inclined to wear a hat with her dad, Christ begs me to take out the camera to capture the moment. Who does he really want to see in a hat, Talia or himself? It does tend to cover up any hair issues that one might be having. Not that either of them does!

2nd Birthday

As many of you already know, Talia celebrated her 2nd birthday on May 2nd! Where do the years go? We are now officially in the "terrible or terrific twos" stage depending on the day. Talia certainly knows what she wants and is not shy about taking it. Just look at her attack that cupcake! I guess we can be happy that she is not a push-over, but everyone else better watch out if they get in the way of something she has her eye on. She talks up a storm and one of her favorite phrases to scream out just in case we can't hear her is "No, my turn!"

Greek Easter

I know you are all thinking, "Gosh, how far behind are you, Irene?," but Greek Easter was April 27th this year so it is not quite as bad as it looks. Talia had a great time counting the eggs she found on her Easter egg hunt around Yia Yia's house, playing with her dress-up kit and her cousins' fishing game, and learning to crack eggs, Greek style.

Finally, Some Sun!

On one of our first semi-springlike days, Talia sported her fashionable spring garb and went out to finally enjoy the outdoors once again. I love her pose on the slide! Watch out JC Penney catalog, here we come!

Pretty In Ponies

Talia had her first pig tails the other day thanks to her babysitter. They were a must have since all of the other girls had their hair "did." She was really happy about them until I started snapping pictures. She seemed unsure whether they really looked as good as she had been told or whether we were just mocking her. Talia, if you don't know already, you always look good!
