Mama's Boy

Niko has become so interactive lately and really enjoys smiling and cooing at anyone who will give him attention, especially Mommy. He is such a joy to have in our family, and as soon as we get this sleeping through the night thing down, everything will be perfect! Don't grow up too fast, Niko!

Siblings Rule

Talia loves hugging, squeezing, patting, tapping, pinching, and kissing Niko whenever she can get her hands on him and Niko is getting used to having her around. He cannot wait until he can play right along side her rather than just watching her whiz around the room. She cannot wait until she can trick him into taking the blame for her devious plans.

Two Times the Trouble

Talia's friend Taylor came over to visit the other day and they had fun getting into trouble together. Talia helped Taylor hold up her shirt so that she could go potty and tried to corrupt her into following her mischievous ways. I am sure Taylor is an Angel at home, but Talia knows how to bring out the wild side in almost anyone!

Grandma Diane

My mom (and often my dad) have been coming to visit us one evening a week since Niko has been born and it has been such a treat for all of us! Talia enjoys the much needed extra attention and I enjoy some adult conversation. Grandma and Grandpa enjoy playing "spooky monster" in the dark with Talia and seeing how much bigger Niko's cheeks get week by week.

Hoop Girl

Talia has become quite the basketball fan lately with a little help from her dad. She has attended many different games including Christ's own league games. Those are the most exciting, I am sure. Surprisingly for all of us, Talia actually stays off of the court while Dad is playing and doesn't try to go in for the assist! Soon she will be yelling at all the players just like Christ does!

Lady's Man

I found Niko in bed with a lady friend the other day while Grandma was over. I thought I would have a few years before having to address this issue, but Niko is quite the charmer. At least they are both fully clothed!

Dress Up

Anyone who knows Talia knows that her favorite thing to do these days is play "bress-up." She usually has about 20 wardrobe changes a day and does it all on her own. On this day she found even more items to add to her wardrobe when stumbling upon Daddy's basket of clean laundry. Imagine his surprise when he came home to see Talia dressed in his underpants and undershirt.

Bye Bye Weider

Talia's "weider" (pacifier for those not in the know) was about to fall apart and it was nearing time to give it up so we took an idea from the book of Courtney Maher (Mother of the year) and went to Build A Bear. Talia got to choose an animal and her weider was placed inside. At first Talia resented Sparkles for holding her weider in a place she could not get to, but she has since accepted her into the stuffed animal clan and life has gone on. Napping has not been so regular without the help of weider, but Talia has learned to cope without this once necessity.

Football Fanatic

Niko doesn't know it yet but he is already a huge football fan and has a favorite player as well. Hopefully he will fit into the jersey before Manning retires. Otherwise he might just have to have it signed and hung on his wall like Daddy's.
