Merry-go-Round

Talia has enjoyed many a trip around and around the merry-go-round in the past month. She first discovered them at a carnival with dad, but here we are on the famous Krape Park merry where mom used to work. Talia was so upset every time we had to get off to get back in line for two seconds before boarding again. 3 rides for $1. Can't beat that. And mom didn't even barf once!

The fam

Here we all are dressed in our best garb to attend Steve's wedding. Talia is contemplating why we put this fufu dress on her which limits her mobility.

Wedding Bells

Talia enjoyed our friend Steve's wedding, but we had to put the plug in her as she felt the need to comment on every detail. She does not understand shhhh yet. Needless to say, she spent most of the wedding exploring the lobby with dad rather than viewing the ceremony.

Beach Babes

Talia loved the beach (aside from all that water) and had a blast playing with her cousins in the sand. She even loved being buried in sand which gives us new options for babysitting the next time we want to go out!

Life's A Beach

Talia enjoyed her first trip to the beach in Michigan this past weekend. Dad was obsessed with digging holes for himself and Talia to lounge in and showed her the correct way to pose when attracting hot chicks on the beach. Note there are none flocking, even with the aid of Talia!

First Haircut

I gave Talia her first haircut the other day as her Mohawk was beginning to droop into her eyes. I know it is not perfect, but given that I have no training and was armed only with nail scissors, it is not too bad. I think our family can officially be called the Three Stooges now. Can you guess which one of us is Larry, Curly, and Moe?

New treasures

I bought Talia a new toy bin the other day to store her stuffed animals, but she prefers to sit with (or on) them. It reminds me of E.T. Another favorite brought back from my recent trip to the store was the directions to her new cell phone. Again, why do I buy her toys when a piece of junk mail will suffice?

Swim Lessons

Talia had her first swim lessons this past weekend and was not so sure about the whole experience. She was occasionally distracted by toys and other babies, but for the most part, she was apprehensive. Hopefully she will learn to trust us one of these days!

Walking For Real

Talia has had so much fun standing on her own in the middle of the room and has recently taken some of her first steps. I have caught her walking to an object on her own, but it is usually when she doesn't even realize she is doing it. She will walk to Dad or I on request and made a trip across the entire living room the other day. Just a little more confidence and she will have this down. More scrapes and bruises to come, I am sure!
